The Tain mussel project

After the floral jockey jackets (see earlier post) we had to show you shell artist Blott Kerr Wilson’s amazing garments made from mussel shells. Her past projects include shellwork gardens and rooms as well as skilful restoration work, but this work came about through her involvement in a Highlands community project called The Tain mussel project. After about 1100 people were fed, and all the shells were saved, Blott created these amazing figures and chairs. To see more go to www.blottshellhouses.com
