Deep in the Belgian countryside an 18th century farmhouse has been restored as a live/work space by an architect couple with a minimalist lifestyle. Their home is simply furnished with everyday pieces juxtaposed with occasional objects and a collection of contemporary art. Here, a practical dressing area in the bedroom has been constructed in an arched alcove using reclaimed shelving from old shops.

Another chair which would fit the bill here is Leporello‘s pretty ‘Elysian’ bergere chair available in a wide range of paint colours.

The lamp on the table looks very much like the Anglepoise Type 75 in silver, available from Geoffrey Harris.
This French ash bench with upholstered top and a shelf underneath is from Juliette’s Interiors.
