‘Best of British’ at Ann Sacks

American tile company Ann Sacks hosted an inspiring talk last week on ‘Best of British Design’ by Philip Cooper, Design Director at Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler. It focused on designer/craftsmen collaborations and in particular on the innovative new tile designs Ann Sacks has developed with some talented British artists.

‘Romance’, ‘Distorted check’ and ‘Bespoke Orb’ tiles by Alex Zdankowicz

These undulating three-dimensional tiles are by sculptor & ceramicist Regina Heintz.

‘Jester’ by Design & Fury ; ‘Trompe l’oeil’ by Douglas Watson Studio; architectural tiles by Andy Blick.

And the new hand-silvered ‘Visage’ tiles, inspired by 18th and 19th century mirrors.
